Founded in October 2017 by its Musicial Director Emma Trounson, Corah is a nine voice female vocal ensemble. based in Leicester. They have a repertoire which includes popular, jazz and musical theatre styles. Their first performance was at De Montfort Hall where they sang the World premiere of ‘When the stormclouds meet the blue’ as part of BBC Radio Leicester’s 50th anniversary concert. The touching story of the composer’s mother having written the words to his father during the war caught the attention, not only of the local radio station, who aired it on Remembrance Sunday, but also East Midlands Today who ran a feature on it and filmed the group singing.
Corah have twice performed alongside Fosse Singers as guest performers at their Christmas and Spring concerts at the Fraser Noble Hall. They performed at ‘The Image is the Servant: Body Beautiful’ at The Venue@DMU and at a business launch party for Obsidian Tax Ltd. at the National Space Centre.
